CALIFORNIA CULINARY ACADEMY’S DAVID ISENBERG NAMED 2008 L’ ESPRIT D’ EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER
Local chef instructor recognized by Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America
San Francisco, CA – (August 18, 2008) – Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America, provider of
distinguished culinary arts training programs on 14 campuses in the United States, has
announced the winners of its first annual L' Esprit d' Excellence Awards. The award
recognizes educators for their contributions to their respective schools and acknowledges the
unique learning experience they have helped cultivate as a result of their commitment to and
passion for the field. California Culinary Academy (CCA) Chef Instructor David Isenberg
was bestowed this honor following the input of his students, peers, and members of the
school’s administration.
In addition to being a star instructor on CCA’s campus, Chef Isenberg is a graduate of the
school’s culinary arts program. Following much success working in restaurants, country
clubs, and catering operations, he returned to his alma mater in 2001 to become an
instructor in both the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts and Hospitality & Restaurant
Management programs. David was named CCA’s Chef Instructor of the Year for
Hospitality & Restaurant Management in 2006.
